Weston Pediatrics at Mill Brook now offers Behavioral Health Wellness Examinations!

Effective April 1, 2024, Massachusetts insurance companies are required to cover an annual mental health wellness exam with the goal to improve patient access to mental and behavioral health care. Massachusetts is the second state in the nation to offer this exam! A behavioral health wellness exam is in addition to your annual well child exam and focuses on the emotional well-being and development of pediatric patients of all ages. For example, an adolescent behavioral health exam may focus on the stress of school, extracurricular activities, and social media pressures. A behavioral health exam for a younger child may focus on social and developmental progress. To take advantage of this new service, please call our office. For patients with out of state insurance, we encourage you to call your insurance company to determine if this is a covered service and/or if there is any out-of-pocket expense.
