Office Update
Millbrook Pediatrics is working closely with the Department of Public Health, Mass General Brigham, and Emerson Hospital to keep up to date on the rapidly changing situation regarding the novel Coronavirus.
Millbrook Pediatrics continues to keep the office open for both well and sick visits. We agree with the American Academy of Pediatrics that patients should continue to be seen for their well visits in order to keep up with their preventive care, receive necessary vaccines, and be monitored for physical and mental health issues. We have the following precautions in place to protect our patients and staff and to follow the recommendations of physical distancing:
- Our office closely follows the State requirements for remaining opened during the pandemic. Our staff is checked for signs of illness before coming to the office. We wear masks while in the office, and clean our hands frequently. We have protocols in place to maintain proper distancing between patients. Our office is professionally cleaned and disinfected daily. All equipment is cleaned between patients.
- Our medical staff is triaging all phone calls and requests for sick visits. We are providing telemedicine visits in appropriate situations and seeing patients in the office when in-person visits are necessary.
- Our waiting room is closed and our front door is locked. If you have an appointment, we are asking that you contact us from the parking lot. Our front desk staff will perform check-in and instruct you when to come upstairs to the office. All patients are screened for COVID symptoms or exposure to infected individuals prior to coming into the office. The door will be opened for you and you will be sent directly into an exam room. All guardians and patients over the age of two are required to wear a mask to come into the building.
- We ask that only one parent/guardian accompanies each patient to their visit and those patients over the age of 18 come alone.
