Goodbye Letter

Dear Patients and Families,

It is with mixed emotions that I let you know that I will be leaving Mill Brook Pediatrics.  As many of you know, I have been splitting my time between my clinical work at Mill Brook Pediatrics and physician leadership administration at Mass General Brigham and Emerson Health.  I have accepted a full-time administrative position where I will be developing programs to improve healthcare systemwide as well as improving the well-being of healthcare teams.

While I look forward to my own next steps, it will be most difficult to leave all of you and our incredible staff at Mill Brook Pediatrics.  I came to the Emerson Health community directly out of my Chief -Residency year and have cared for Mill Brook Pediatrics’ patients for over twenty years.  I have been working for the past few weeks with Dr. Wirth and the Mill Brook staff to find the best transition for my patients.  I am excited to announce that Mill Brook Pediatrics will become part of Weston Pediatrics.  Weston Pediatrics has been serving our communities for over fifty years and the way they practice medicine is a perfect match to what we have strived to provide you at Mill Brook.  Be assured, the Mill Brook office will remain open and continue to see patients in Sudbury.  Over the next several months, our practice will be augmented by providers from Weston Pediatrics.  Mill Brook and Weston Pediatrics will keep you updated on this transition.

I will continue to see patients until August 22nd.  If you are scheduled to see me after that date, your appointment will be with one of the other providers.  If you need more details about your appointment, please call our office at 978-443-0707.

I am so fortunate to have had these years as your pediatrician.  I loved taking care of your children and each day I looked forward to my scheduled visits, catching up with you and them.  The joy that you all have brought me in these years is truly immeasurable.  Thank you.

Warmly,

Lauren Geddes
